Mantel love

I finally found a safe place to hang my favourite vintage glass Christmas ornaments. Along with a bit of my winter village. Far from little fingers and curious cats. I just had to move a few pictures over add the crystal wreath and voila. Time to go watch the Christmas Carol.
Merry Christmas.

Tiny tada!

Finished a little blankie for a neighbour who had a baby girl Dec 2.

Tree day, one of my favourite days of the whole year. I wanted to keep Christmas simple this winter so we started with a rustic natural tree. Oh how I love her, she's so pretty and keeps the whole house smelling like Christmas. Such a beautiful season so many reasons for happiness the tree, the snow, the warmth with family by a cozy by fireplace I could go on and on. I hope you are all happy and merry also.

My oldest son wanted a blanket of his own, He went through my yarn stash and picked the colors he liked. I think he has a nack for color and I'm so glad he gave me the excuse get back into crocheting:)

Autumn

Autumn already? What a relaxing lazy hazy summer I loved  every day of it. If only it could last longer so I could keep growing in the garden. I've been canning crazy for this past week pickles, jams, pepper jelly, now for a batch of salsa. We are sure getting a nice little stash put away for the winter. If only I could settle my brain down into some crocheting it just won't let me sit still, so much to do.
If we can get a few nice days this week we'll be more inclined to start work on the glass greenhouse. This I'm hoping will extend my growing season and save alot of my more tender plants for next spring.
Pinterest photo love.

Well then since blogger wouldn't let me add anymore photo's to my last ramblings here are a few more tidbits as to what I've been ignoring you lovelies for.
A little bit of bunting just to make me happy and give me yet another reason to sit out in the sunshine.

A cutesy cake I did  for a friends wedding a couple weeks ago, she had no idea the big flowers in the middle were to cover up little bittys finger holes. lol I left it in the fridge for only two minutes. He must have realized he had done something wrong because he came to let me know " mommy I had icing." No worries I thought it looked better after the fix any way, funny how life works sometimes.
Also  been trying to catch up on some scrapbooking these are a couple of my favorites. So much crafting so little time in a day.

Neglect

Here are a few things I've been up to this summer.....

We've been trying to eat outside to enjoy the summer sun as much as we can. Loving my summer but neglecting my blogging. Hopefully now that school is back on I can get back to my updates and get back to crafty. Back to crocheting and embroidery oh I so can't wait.

part II

Yes this rug is taking awhile, not because it's really difficult. In fact it's so easy and goes by so quickly. It just keeps getting pushed aside because of so many other projects. Can u believe five t-shirts have already gone into this project so far. Back to the cutting board for this momma we need more shirt strip yarn!
One of the culprits, this perfect newborn baby pink blanket. Such a yummy color makes me want a bunch of cotton candy. What a very rare peaceful moment sitting in a little speckle of sunshine working while the little bittys are away. Crocheting, sunshine and a mug a tea if only I had one of Sara's mug rugs.....no no more projects;) lol are there really ever too many? I don't think so.

Here's a sneak peek of a new wip that's been swimming around my mind for a long time. Any guesses as to what it might be? Also just finished another embroidery piece for Sara at thesplitstitch.com, will add pictures when I can get some good lighting.
